Video Editor (Performance Ads).

Edit high-performance video ads that drive clicks and conversions. You're not making brand films - you're crafting 15-60 second hooks that stop the scroll, hold attention, and sell. Every cut, transition, and CTA placement is a performance decision.

01 · Reality check

Is this actually for you?

You'll fit if

  • You ship fast - brief at 11am, first cut by 4pm
  • You study winning ads from competitors daily
  • You understand that a 0.5s difference in hook timing can 3x performance
  • Every frame in your edit earns its place
  • You know the difference between a brand film and a performance ad
  • You use AI tools as production multipliers

Maybe skip the form if

  • You want to make cinematic brand films
  • You've never looked at ad performance data for your edits
  • You need a week to deliver a 30-second cut
  • You only edit to music, not to performance hooks
  • You don't know what a hook rate or thumb-stop rate is
  • You refuse to use AI-assisted editing tools

02 · The deal

Here's what this actually looks like.

  • You'll see exactly which edit drove ₹5L in revenue and which one flopped.
  • Your work gets tested against real data every day.
  • No guessing, no subjective feedback - just what converts.
  • You ship fast.
  • A brief that comes in at 11am has a first cut by 4pm.
  • You study winning ads from competitors daily.
  • You understand that a 0.5s difference in hook timing can 2x a video's performance.
  • Every frame earns its place.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years editing video ads for D2C/ecommerce brands (not brand films, not YouTube vlogs - performance ads)
  • Expert in CapCut and Premiere Pro. Bonus: Final Cut Pro, After Effects
  • You understand how ads work - hooks, CTAs, pacing, format-specific best practices
  • Can add the right animations, text overlays, and transitions that improve performance, not just look pretty
  • Comfortable with high-volume output - 10-15 ad variations per week
  • You watch winning ads daily and have opinions about what makes them work

Fill the form. We read every one. You'll hear back, yes or no, in a few working days.

A quick fit check. Past experience, what you've owned, what you want next. We answer your questions too.

  3. 03

    Intro

We talk about how you work. Walk us through one decision you'd defend. No 'walk me through your CV'.

You ship a short task on real-ish data. Then a working session where we push back and watch you think.

FAQ

Premiere, CapCut, or After Effects?

All three. Premiere or CapCut for the actual cuts, After Effects when motion or text animation matters. If you only know one, you'll plateau fast.

Will I shoot anything, or just edit?

Editing is the core. Occasionally you'll direct UGC creators or guide a shoot brief, but you won't be on set with a camera every week.

Is this fully remote?

No. Monday to Friday at the Pune office, Saturday WFH. We work better when the team is in one room.

Do I need agency experience?

No. In-house is fine. We want real experience, real outcomes, and the ability to work across brands.

What if I'm great at the job but a bad interviewer?

The task round is a take-home. Your work speaks for you. Charisma is nice but optional.

How many brands will I work with?

We work with 15-18 D2C brands across supplements, ethnic wear, kids apparel, stickers, lab diamonds, and more. You'll go deep on a select group of 4-5 brands in a POD.

Will I talk to founders?

Yes. No layers of account managers. You sit in the conversations that matter.
